Professional Risk's 20 year anniversary

The history of Tokio Marine HCC (TMHCC) is one studded with major landmarks and 2024 brings yet another, our Professional Risks team are celebrating 20 years in the business.

We have one of the largest teams of PI underwriters in the market, boasting over 400 years of collective PI underwriting experience. It’s a tight knit team that has been working together for many years, with 14 of our underwriters working side by side for over 10 years, and in that time, there isn’t a risk type they haven’t seen and managed.

All of this has come together to create a consistency of service and a depth of experience that the rest of the market struggles to replicate.

To mark two decades of excellence for our Professional Risks team we decided to host an event in the city of London, celebrating this significant milestone. All the team from TMHCC were there, from Tony Browne, Managing Director – Professional Risks to our newest additions to the underwriting team. 

As our people and brokers networked, they were entertained by a DJ, bongo drum players and a spectacular display from a troupe of talented fire performers. It was a great night but rather than looking back, the conversations were very much focused on the next 20 years and beyond.

We’ve already started delivering on that growth plan with the significant investment we have made over the last few years in new, permanent premises to consolidate our growing presence in Manchester and new hires across the business – in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol.

It was a great night and a huge thanks to everyone who helped make it so memorable.
