Tokio Marine HCC takes great pride in processing and paying claims quickly and seamlessly when our customers experience customer payment default. With an in-house team of professional, experienced claims handlers and quantity surveyors, our technical expertise is market-leading. Our aim is to make the claims process as quick and simple as possible, ensuring we make prompt payments to our customers, protecting their cash-flow at what can be a challenging time for them.
Policy reporting
Our claims team handle reports of adverse information promptly and efficiently, connecting our customers to approved debt collectors where required. Our team are always on hand to advise on notifications and appropriate next steps.
Trader claims
For smaller claims, customers can opt for the self-certification process: A simple, 1-page form requiring little documentation and ensuring payment within 24 hours from submission – again market-leading. For larger claims, customers complete a short form and provide invoices, sales ledger and evidence of the claim event. Most claims are processed within 3 days and at most 7 days. On larger, more complex claims, our professional claims handlers will visit the customer to provide a swift resolution of the claim.
Constructor claims
Our expertise in construction comes to the fore when assessing claims made under the Constructor policy. Our quantity surveying team quickly understand the nature of the debt which can include retentions, final account balances and other specialist construction debts. Claims are assessed quickly and professionally and usually within 15 days of submission. For more complex claims, we offer meetings with the client to agree the value of the works, often with the customer’s own quantity surveyors, to proactively bring outstanding balances into the claim payment.
Creditors meetings and retention of title
Working closely with insolvency experts, our claims team can offer advice on insolvency procedures, provide representation at creditors meetings and offer support with enforcing claims for retention of title.
